Up and Running Again
The web page was not able to be updated for a couple of weeks because the hosting company was purchased by someone else
and that caused all sorts of problems. Nevertheless, it is now up and running again and there are a few more videos under
video highlights. Ryan has been asked to wrestle up to 171 and he has been somewhat frustrated as he weighs 158. The results
for the past couple of weeks has been mixed though he still has a winning record for the year. All that's left of this year
is LaPorte and Sectionals. Ryan has already lettered as a Sophomore wrestling varsity and now he is trying to end on an up
note at 171. He did place at conference for 171 but would have liked to have performed at a higher level. Ten more pounds
of muscle would have helped tremendously at this weight class.

Merrillville Beats Chesterton But Ryan, Anthony, & Spencer Win
Chetserton had a bad night in Merrillville but Ryan performed despite a tough bout. He went up again Merrillville Senior
Ronnie Combs whose record this year was 12-4. Ryan got the pin in the third period after quite the battle. This was a good
boost for Ryan after loosing two bouts in Mishawaka the previous week. You can view the struggle under video highlights on

Lake Central Invitational a Success
Today was the Lake Central Invitational in St. John. Ryan had a good outting with one forfeit against South Bend Adams
and a pin against Gary Lew Wallace at the 160 bracket. He also won 8-2 against the Eagles at the 171 bracket for a 3
and 0 on the day. Ryan had to wrestle up because Sevante at the 189 spot injurred his knee. Tony Sanchez moved to 189 and

Michigan City Falls
It's been awhile since
my last post. But then...a lot's been happening and Ryan has his own MySpace page so there is less traffic here these days.
As far as wrestling goes, however, Ryan is enjoying his sophomore year as the Chesterton High School Varsity 160
lb starter. Results have been mixed but he is hovering above the 500 mark and advanced his cause further tonight with a pin
against our rivals to the East, Michigan City. We have posted a video to the right under "Video Highlights."
Ryan is in the burgundy singlet and white shoes. Cody from Michigan city
has the darker singlet and dark shoes. He’s also the one getting pinned. Chesterton defeated the Michigan City team by a large
margin. Good job boys!

Grecko Success
Yesterday we went to Syracuse for Ryan to join in a Grecko tournament. This year he was much more familiar with the different
rules in Grecko and pulled second in the 171 weight class for cadets. He will be headed to the Grecko State Finals in about
three weeks. next week he will also start back with Freestyle.
